Juno Plug

I don't normally recommend a movie or write to people about one, but
I've seen two in the last couple days....Charlie Wilson's War and
Juno...both are superb.

However, Juno has not received the marketing that it deserves....reviews
yes....

As easy as it is to say - go see the movie - it is hilarious, really
really funny and has a great plot and realistic story....

I was impressed as I have ever been in a movie...

SportsGuy has a great read this week. Also, see that Chad is rated above
the trio of JP, Kellen, and Trent...

Two best quotes from the article:

'To my knowledge, nobody has ever married an FWB or won a Super Bowl
with them. There's a lesson here.'

'Honestly, I don't know WHAT the hell is going on with Vince Young -- he
has had a bigger sophomore slump than "Friday Night Lights."'

Curt and John

Okay, so John McCain has not sold me on a lot of things yet...but the
Boston Red Sox have....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-62v31F3do

You gotta love this about the Sox - they are willing to speak up and
speak out....most all in sports refuse to do so including (MJ) with the
exception of (Ali)..

a reason to love the holy father

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=11216

Because he gets it. He speaks the truth so often and this is something
that we do not get from the pulpit every Sunday. Many times we here the
rosy story of God's love for us.

How many times do we hear that truth with the language also of we need
to turn away from materialism???sin???

This advent is a great time for me so far in reaching deep in preparing
myself for Jesus. I found today's readings to be an incredible
message....i invite you to take a read again:

http://www.usccb.org/nab/120907.shtml

" On that day, a shoot shall sprout from the stump of Jesse,
and from his roots a bud shall blossom."

" Then the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
the calf and the young lion shall browse together,
with a little child to guide them.
The cow and the bear shall be neighbors,
together their young shall rest;
the lion shall eat hay like the ox.
The baby shall play by the cobra's den,
and the child lay his hand on the adder's lair.
There shall be no harm or ruin on all my holy mountain;
for the earth shall be filled with knowledge of the LORD,"

So Media - where are you????

GO figure - things get better - journalism decides not to discuss

the housing mess

This is my view on the whole thing...I think a bad move by the government.
"There are those of us who purposely sat on the sidelines during the course of the last three years while the senseless frenzy was going on, and we presumed the free market would be allowed to correct itself," McKinney said. "The government is now meddling in the market and looking to prop up lenders and borrowers alike, and those of us who wisely bided our time get screwed."
